What we cover in Green Valley, and how quickly we can get there.
If you are in Green Valley or anywhere else in 2168, you are in our South West Sydney patch, 31.9 km west of the CBD. We cover Green Valley on scheduled runs through the South West Sydney, and we will give you a firm time rather than a window.
A lot of our Green Valley jobs are in the streets around Bradshaw Park and Middlehope Park, and we are out near Valley Plaza Shopping Centre regularly enough that the technician usually knows the access before they arrive.
Liverpool, Fairfield and Cumberland is the council area for Green Valley, and we treat Hinchinbrook, Busby and Bonnyrigg Heights on the same schedule. On a newer estate the houses are near-identical and tightly spaced, which means a problem in one tends to turn up in the ones either side.
The bulk of our Green Valley work is estate houses with narrow side access and a shared fence line. Mention the detail when you call 1300 313 373 - it decides how long we need on site.
Beyond that we cover the rest of 2168, including the streets around Green Valley Village Shopping Centre.
When you book, we confirm the 2168 run the day before and give you an arrival time rather than a window. If we are already out at Hinchinbrook or Busby that morning, we will usually offer you the earlier slot.
The usual route into a Green Valley home is carried, not crawled. Appliance deliveries, recycled cartons and second-hand white goods are the three we trace most often.
The allergen is the part people underestimate. Cockroach droppings and shed skins are a recognised asthma trigger, and in a Green Valley unit with an established population the load builds up in soft furnishings.
If cockroaches keep appearing in a Green Valley bathroom rather than the kitchen, the drain is the first thing we check. They travel the pipework between units and come up wherever the seal has dried out.
Knowing the species tells us where the nest is and which treatment will work. Two of these photos are from our own Sydney jobs.

At 12 to 15 mm and light brown with two dark stripes behind the head, this is the species we find living permanently indoors. Warmth, food and moisture are all it needs, and it reproduces faster than any other cockroach here.

The big reddish-brown one, reaching around 4 cm. Its home is the drain line, the grease trap, the stormwater pit or the subfloor - it visits the kitchen, it does not live there.

Similar in size to the American cockroach, told apart by the yellow margins at the head and wing edges. An outdoor species - gardens, mulch, the subfloor - that makes its way in.

Small, with light bands across the back. Unlike the others it avoids damp, preferring warm dry places up high - behind wall hangings, inside appliance housings and in upper cupboards.

From one of our own inspections: German cockroach harbourage in a Sydney kitchen. The droppings, shed skins and egg cases are what we read to judge the species and the size of the population.

Photo from an Elite job: cockroach harbourage inside commercial kitchen equipment. Motor housings, door seals and hollow legs stay warm overnight and are rarely cleaned.
Where and when you see them is often a better clue than size. Use this to tell us what you are seeing when you call.
| What you see | Likely species | Where the nest usually is | What treatment focuses on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Little ones out on the bench while the lights are on, with gritty black specks in cupboard corners | German cockroach - daytime activity means a large population | Cupboard hinges, the warm cavities behind the dishwasher and fridge, under kickboards, inside appliance housings | Rotated gel baits, an insect growth regulator, and product worked into cracks and crevices |
| A single big one after dark by the laundry tub, the bathroom or a floor drain | American cockroach | Stormwater and sewer pits, the space under the floor, floor wastes that have dried out | Treating the pits and drains, the subfloor, and sealing the gaps where pipes pass through |
| Yellow-edged cockroaches in the garage, or coming through a door from the garden | Australian cockroach | Mulch and leaf litter, woodpiles, and the roof void | External perimeter, a dusting through the roof void, and clearing garden harbourage |
| Small cockroaches found upstairs or in bedrooms rather than around the sink | Brown-banded cockroach | Dry, warm furniture and the inside of electrical appliances | Targeted bait placement through living and sleeping spaces |
| Cockroaches that always come back to the flat no matter how well you treat your own kitchen | German cockroach moving around the block | Shared service risers, the bin room, and cavities inside the party walls | Treating the whole building together. See strata pest control |

A German cockroach egg case holds about 30 eggs and travels with the female until hatching is close. Kill the adults you can see and the next generation still arrives.
Each female can produce several egg cases in her life, and the young mature in weeks in a warm kitchen. A few cockroaches become an infestation quickly.
A repellent product scatters rather than clears - deeper into the wall void, through to the unit next door - and leaves residue where food is prepared.
Cast skins, droppings and saliva are recognised asthma and allergy triggers, which makes a long-running infestation a health issue rather than just an annoyance.
What the technician does on the day, in the order it happens.
We identify the species, then go looking with a torch and mirror - hinges, inside appliances, behind the kickboards, into the wall voids. What we find decides the treatment, not a set routine.
Where build-up is feeding them, you will get a short list of what to clean and the order to do it in - bait has to out-compete everything else available.
We place gel in precise dots along their travel routes rather than spraying. They feed, return to the harbourage, and the effect spreads through the population by contact and feeding.
The growth regulator keeps nymphs from ever breeding; dust handles the wall voids and cavities that no gel dot can reach.
Pits, floor wastes, the subfloor and the roof void get treated for the American and Australian species - they come in from there, so that is where it has to be done.
We leave you a written record of the job. If it is still heavy at two weeks, or comes back inside the 6 months a general treatment carries, we return at no charge.
Some DIY options help with a few stray cockroaches. An established German cockroach colony is a different job.
| Method | What it does well | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
| Aerosol surface spray | Deals with the individual in front of you | Never touches the egg cases or the voids, and drives the rest further into the walls |
| Bug bombs and foggers | Covers open surfaces in a room | Misses harbourage, leaves residue on benches, and can scatter the colony |
| Retail bait stations | Useful for a light problem | Low bait volume, and easily out-competed by crumbs and grease |
| Professional gel bait rotation | Fed on where they shelter and passed between them, with formulations rotated as needed | Only works once competing food is gone, and takes days to a couple of weeks |
| Insect growth regulator | Stops nymphs maturing into breeding adults, which breaks the egg-case cycle | Works slowly, so it is always paired with bait |
Ten minutes of preparation lets the bait reach more cockroaches.
Seeing more of them at first is expected. They come out, move slowly and die - the bait and growth regulator doing their job. Sweep up and leave everything else alone.
Expect activity to taper off. The bait dots in hinges and cracks need to stay put, and nothing should be sprayed over them - that is what makes cockroaches avoid bait.
Still seeing them? Tell the agent or building manager, since the source is often a neighbouring lot. Apartment pest control explains what a building-wide job involves.
If you still see steady activity after two weeks, or cockroaches return within 6 months of a general treatment, call 1300 313 373 for a warranty re-treatment.
A good share of our Green Valley work sits close to Valley Plaza Shopping Centre, though the back streets and the Hinchinbrook boundary are just as familiar.
Council officers want records, not reassurance. For food premises around Green Valley we provide the treatment schedule, the products used, the monitoring point locations and the findings from each visit, in a form you can hand over.
If your Green Valley neighbour has cockroaches, you have a supply line. The treatment still works, but it needs the entry points sealed and ideally the adjoining property done at the same time.
German cockroaches get baits and growth regulators, and drain species get pit and subfloor work. The species decides the treatment.
Precise gel placement into cracks and hinges rather than spraying the surfaces you cook on.
Apartments through to commercial kitchens, with food businesses serviced when they are closed.
General treatments carry 6 months: a return within that window brings us back at no cost.
