Expert Pre-Construction Termite Barriers You Can Trust
A pre-construction termite barrier is the single most cost-effective way to protect a new Sydney home. Installed during the build — before the slab is poured or as the structure goes up — it creates a continuous, durable barrier that stops subterranean termites reaching the timber for decades.

What We Treat
Our licensed technicians are trained across every variety you're likely to encounter in Sydney.

Under-Slab Chemical Barrier
A treated zone applied to the ground and fill before the concrete slab is poured, creating a complete chemical barrier beneath the entire footprint.

Reticulation Systems
A permanent under-slab pipe network that allows the chemical barrier to be replenished for the life of the building without disturbing the structure.

Physical Termite Barriers
Stainless-steel mesh and graded-particle systems built into footings, penetrations and perimeters — a non-chemical barrier termites cannot pass.

Penetration & Pipe Collars
Engineered collars sealing every pipe, conduit and service penetration through the slab, the most common concealed termite entry point.

Perimeter Chemical Barrier
A continuous treated zone around the completed structure that links with the under-slab system for full perimeter protection.

Cavity & Brickwork Barriers
Termite-resistant membranes installed in masonry cavities and weep holes to block concealed entry behind brickwork.
Know the Warning Signs
Spotting the problem early makes treatment faster, easier and far less costly.
Cheaper Before the Slab
Installing a barrier during construction costs a fraction of post-construction treatment or termite damage repairs later.
Mandatory for Compliance
AS 3660.1 termite management is required for new builds — certifiers and councils need documented, compliant protection before occupancy.
Hidden Entry Sealed Early
Pipe penetrations and slab edges are the main termite entry points; they can only be fully protected during the build.
Protects the Whole Footprint
An under-slab barrier covers the entire building — impossible to fully replicate once the slab is poured.
Decades of Protection
A correctly installed barrier protects the structure for years, with reticulation allowing easy long-term renewal.

Get a Free QuoteHow much does a pre-construction termite barrier cost?
Every build is different, so we provide a fixed written quote after reviewing your plans and slab design — there's no obligation.
Is a termite barrier required for a new build in Sydney?
Yes. New construction in NSW must include a termite management system compliant with Australian Standard AS 3660.1, and your certifier will require documented proof before issuing occupancy. That documentation includes a durable notice fixed in the meter box recording the system installed, the date and the installer.
When during the build is it installed?
Chemical and reticulation systems go in immediately before the slab pour, while physical barriers are built into footings, penetrations and cavity work as the structure rises. Timing matters: miss the window and the slab has to be worked around at far greater cost. We coordinate directly with your builder's schedule.
Physical or chemical barrier — which is better?
Both are compliant and effective; the right choice depends on your slab design, budget and preference. We'll recommend the best fit for your build.
How long does a pre-construction barrier last?
A correctly installed barrier protects for many years. Physical barriers last the life of the slab when undisturbed, and reticulation systems can be replenished indefinitely rather than replaced. Annual inspections keep the cover valid and catch any breach from landscaping, paving or renovation work early.
Do you provide certification for the builder and council?
Yes. We supply the durable notice fixed in the meter box plus the compliance documentation your builder, certifier and council need to sign off the build. That paperwork records the system installed, the product used, the date and the installer's licence, and it stays with the property for future owners.
Do you also handle existing homes?
Yes. For completed homes we install post-construction barriers: a chemical soil barrier trenched and injected around the perimeter, or an in-ground baiting system, depending on the slab and landscaping. It is more involved than treating before a pour, but it protects an existing house to the same standard.
Is the treatment safe for the site and future occupants?
Yes. We use APVMA-registered termiticides applied by licensed technicians strictly to label and to AS 3660.1. The product goes into soil beneath and around the slab before it is covered, not into living space. Full safety documentation and the product record are provided with your compliance certificate.
