Repairing the damage
Do not start repairs yet. Early timber replacement can remove the feeding site, and the colony needs to be confirmed dead first. A builder should look at the bearers, studs and roof timbers.
Termite Control in Camperdown 2050 — local technicians, fixed prices and a written report. Termite treatment starts from $179 and a full timber pest inspection from $159.

Where Camperdown sits, who covers it and what it costs.
Postcode 2050 covers Camperdown and the streets immediately around it. At about 3.8 km south-west of the CBD it falls in the Inner West, where we have vans out daily. Our technicians are through Camperdown most days, so same-day attendance is usually available.
A lot of our Camperdown jobs are in the streets around Broadway Shopping Centre and Newtown station, and we are out near Camperdown Park regularly enough that the technician usually knows the access before they arrive.
Inner West, Burwood, Strathfield and Canada Bay is the council area for Camperdown, and we treat Forest Lodge, Newtown and Annandale on the same schedule. Most of the housing here shares a wall, a roof void or a sub-floor with something else, so we check what adjoins the property rather than treating it in isolation.
Camperdown jobs tend to be terraces and semis where the problem has come through a shared wall. Let us know which when you ring and we will plan the visit around it.
Beyond that we are regularly around University Sports & Aquatic Centre, and out as far as Jack Floyd Reserve. If you are anywhere in 2050, you are inside the area we run.
Your appointment is confirmed the day before with a real arrival time. Because Forest Lodge and Newtown are covered on the same round, 2050 often has an earlier slot available.
The slab edge is meant to be visible so workings show. In a lot of Camperdown properties landscaping has buried it, which hands termites an invisible route in.
Blistered or rippled paint over a flat surface is worth a second look. In Camperdown homes that is frequently workings pushing the paint film up from behind.
A mud lead is a covered road. They will not cross open air, so they build a tunnel up the brickwork - and that tunnel is usually the first thing anyone notices in a Camperdown sub-floor.
Photos from our own Sydney termite jobs. Most properties need one primary method, and some need two working together.

Stations set into the soil around the building. Once termites find the timber inside, it is swapped for bait they carry back to the nest, which is how the colony is eliminated.

Every station is opened on a set schedule so feeding can be assessed and bait replenished. Programs that fail usually failed because the checks lapsed.

Active workings in a door frame or wall cavity can take bait fixed directly over them. Feeding starts at once, which is the fastest way onto a colony.

We trench along the footings and apply termiticide, drilling and injecting through paths and slabs where trenching is not possible, so the treated zone is continuous.

In suspended floors, the soil around piers and along the walls is included, because subfloors are where concealed activity very often begins.

We mark up where the timber has gone so a builder can assess structural work - scheduled after, not before, the colony is confirmed eliminated.
What you do in the first day or two affects how quickly the colony can be eliminated.
Resist the spray can. You will kill a few workers and move the rest somewhere you cannot see, leaving nothing to bait.
Leave mud tubes and damaged timber intact. Broken workings dry out and termites may retreat, which slows treatment.
Photos help. Mud tubes, eaten timber, winged termites, and a note of the location, all make the visit more efficient.
Look around for water - leaks, overflow pipes, the air conditioner drip. Termites want damp soil, and treating without fixing it leaves the attraction in place.
They do not stop while you think about it. We hold same-day and next-day slots across Sydney for active termites.
Activity in one lot of a strata building is rarely confined to that lot. Let the strata manager know as soon as you find it.
One call to a licensed Sydney technician gets you straight advice and a fixed quote within 30 minutes.
Both are recognised approaches for existing buildings under AS 3660.2. The right choice depends on your property.
| Consideration | Baiting system | Chemical soil barrier | Combination |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it achieves | The colony feeding on the house is eliminated | Termites crossing the treated soil around the building are affected | Clears the current attack and defends against the following one |
| Method of install | Soil stations round the perimeter and bait onto the workings themselves | Trenching at the footings with drilling and injection through hard surfaces | Bait phase first, soil barrier second |
| Site disturbance | Almost none: no drilling through paths, no excavating garden beds | Small sealed drill holes in paving, and trenching where there are gardens | Spread across the staged visits |
| What it needs afterwards | The stations are checked on schedule and stay in place as monitoring | Service life is set by the product label and the site conditions; re-application is possible | Stations keep being checked alongside the working barrier |
| Where it fits | Active termites, sites that are mostly paved, and cases where less chemical is preferred | Buildings where the soil around the footings is readily accessible | Heavy infestations, repeat attacks, and high-risk sites backing onto bushland |

Termite treatment is a program over several visits, not a one-off spray.
We identify the termites, trace mud tubes and workings, and check the roof void, subfloor and garden for the likely nest and entry points.
You receive a fixed quote that names the method, the areas, the products and the return visits required.
The active colony is treated either by baiting - directly on the workings or via in-ground stations - or by applying termiticide to the soil on their route.
Return visits carry on until there is no activity left, with bait checked and refilled at each. The duration comes down to colony size and season.
With the colony eliminated, the next question is protection - a soil barrier, continued station monitoring, or both together.
The job finishes with a written record of products and areas, and a recommended next inspection date.
Treatment starts from $179. Your fixed quote comes after we've seen the activity.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location of the activity | Termites confined to one architrave take far less work than activity running through a subfloor and the wall framing |
| Method chosen | Above-ground baiting, in-ground stations and full soil barriers use different amounts of product and labour |
| Size and access | The longer the perimeter and the tighter the subfloor and side access, the longer the job |
| Paving and slabs | Where a path, patio or garage slab has to be drilled and injected, it takes longer than open ground |
| Number of follow-ups | Return visits carry on until the colony is gone - larger colonies take more of them |
| Kind of property | Strata, commercial and extended homes - including granny flats - are individually scoped |

Do not start repairs yet. Early timber replacement can remove the feeding site, and the colony needs to be confirmed dead first. A builder should look at the bearers, studs and roof timbers.
Stations sit level with the soil and lock shut. They must not be moved, mulched over or paved across. If landscaping is coming, let us know first and we will relocate them.
A treated zone wants to be left alone. Building a garden bed, laying pavers or adding a deck against the house can breach it, so ring us before that work starts.
AS 3660.2 sets the baseline at inspections every 12 months or better, more often on high-risk sites. A regular inspection is the only thing that catches a new attack early.
Treatment removes the colony. These property conditions attract the next one, and most are cheap to fix.
If you are buying in Camperdown, get the timber pest inspection done before you exchange, not after. Afterwards it is information; beforehand it is leverage.
Our Camperdown work runs from Jack Floyd Reserve out through the back streets and across to the Forest Lodge boundary. Same price, same technicians.
Timber retaining walls, sleepers and old fence posts around Camperdown properties are all food. They also hide workings, which is why we look at them specifically.
Licensed in NSW under 5122967, with every termite job planned around AS 3660.2.
The method is chosen after we know where the colony is - not by spraying whatever is in sight.
A documented job: what was used, where, and when we returned - for your files, your insurer or whoever buys the place.
The follow-up visits are part of the program, so a baiting job does not get abandoned halfway.

Get a Free QuoteTermite treatment starts from $179 and a full timber pest inspection from $159. Two things move it: how big the place is, and how far it has already spread. We work that out on the phone or on site and tell you the figure before anything starts in Camperdown. Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually.
Same-day attendance is usually available. Camperdown sits roughly 3.8 km south-west of the CBD, inside our Inner West run, so we book a time and keep to it.
These houses were built joined together, and they have aged that way. Party walls, continuous roof voids and shared drainage give termites a route your front door has no bearing on.
Joined older housing, often with a paved rear courtyard holding damp against the wall. Both things shape the treatment.
We do all of those. A good share of the Camperdown jobs we run are tenanted or strata properties, so the written record comes as standard.
Yes. The products are registered for this use and applied at label rates, and placement keeps them away from where children and animals go. Let us know at booking about pets, fish tanks or anyone with asthma and we will plan the visit around it.
Usually not. Most termite control work is done with you there, and anything that needs the room vacated is for a short period we will tell you about beforehand.
For a standard Camperdown home, one to two hours. We would rather tell you it will take longer up front than rush it.
Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually. That is the point of the warranty - you do not pay twice for the same problem.
We cover the whole of Camperdown, from the streets around Jack Floyd Reserve out to the suburb boundary and on into Forest Lodge.
