You may see cockroaches out in daylight, moving slowly or dying on the floor. This is the bait and growth regulator starting to work. Sweep them up and keep going.
Cockroach Control in Casula 2170 — local technicians, fixed prices and a written report. A cockroach treatment starts from $89.
Real, verified feedback from people we've helped — straight from Google.
Where Casula sits, who covers it and what it costs.
Our South West Sydney technicians cover Casula and the rest of 2170 as a matter of course - it is only about 29.6 km west of the city. We cover Casula on scheduled runs through the South West Sydney, and we will give you a firm time rather than a window.
Most weeks we are somewhere between Tharawal Park and Jardine Park in Casula, and Leacock Regional Park is close enough to be on the same run.
We work under the Liverpool, Fairfield and Cumberland area here, and Lurnea, Moorebank and Glenfield are all on the same route, which matters when cockroach problems are moving between adjoining properties. Estate blocks are compact with narrow side passages, so access and the perimeter are where most of the work happens.
The bulk of our Casula work is newer homes on small blocks where next door has the same problem. Mention the detail when you call 1300 313 373 - it decides how long we need on site.
The rest of 2170 is covered too, including the pockets around Casula Mall and Casula station.
Bookings for 2170 are confirmed the day before with a set arrival time, not an all-day window. Jobs at Lurnea and Moorebank often share the same run, which is how earlier slots come up.
Nobody gets bitten by a cockroach. The risk is what comes off their feet onto a Casula benchtop after a trip through the drain line, which matters most in a house with small children or anyone with a weakened immune system.
Get the species wrong and the treatment fails. The small ones breeding under your Casula sink want gel bait placed where they feed. The big ones wandering in from the garden want a perimeter barrier. Doing the second when you needed the first wastes the visit.
Cockroaches do not respect a lease boundary. In a Casula block they move through service risers, shared drains and the cavity between units, so treating one kitchen in a building with a problem is money spent on a holding pattern.
Knowing the species tells us where the nest is and which treatment will work. Two of these photos are from our own Sydney jobs.

At 12 to 15 mm and light brown with two dark stripes behind the head, this is the species we find living permanently indoors. Warmth, food and moisture are all it needs, and it reproduces faster than any other cockroach here.

The big reddish-brown one, reaching around 4 cm. Its home is the drain line, the grease trap, the stormwater pit or the subfloor - it visits the kitchen, it does not live there.

Similar in size to the American cockroach, told apart by the yellow margins at the head and wing edges. An outdoor species - gardens, mulch, the subfloor - that makes its way in.

A small species with pale bands across the body that prefers warm, dry spots higher up, such as behind picture frames, in electrical housings and inside cupboards away from water.

One of our Sydney inspections, showing German cockroach activity. The harbourage itself tells the story: droppings, cast skins and egg cases give us both the species and the scale.

Taken on an Elite commercial job - harbourage inside the equipment itself. Motor cavities, door seals and hollow legs stay warm all night and rarely see a cloth.
Where and when you see them is often a better clue than size. Use this to tell us what you are seeing when you call.
| What you see | Likely species | Where the nest usually is | What treatment focuses on |
|---|---|---|---|
| A dozen small cockroaches on the bench in broad daylight, with dark specks in the cupboard corners | German cockroach, already a heavy infestation | The hinge of a cupboard door, behind the dishwasher and fridge, the kickboard void, inside appliances | Bait rotation and a growth regulator, applied into cracks and crevices right through the kitchen |
| The occasional large cockroach at night in a wet area rather than a group in the kitchen | American cockroach | Pits, the subfloor, and floor wastes that are no longer holding water | Drain and pit treatment plus subfloor work, with pipe gaps sealed afterwards |
| Large cockroaches with yellow edging, seen in the garage or coming in from the garden | Australian cockroach | Mulch, leaf litter, woodpiles, roof void | External perimeter, roof void dusting, garden harbourage |
| Small ones in a bedroom or living room - behind a picture, inside the TV cabinet - not near water | Brown-banded cockroach | Furniture and electrical gear that stays warm and dry | Baiting aimed at the living and sleeping rooms rather than the kitchen |
| A unit that goes quiet for a couple of weeks and then has cockroaches again | German cockroach coming through from another lot | The risers, bin room and wall cavities the units have in common | A treatment coordinated across the building. See strata pest control |

Roughly 30 eggs sit in a single case, and the female keeps it with her until it is nearly ready to hatch. Nothing you spray on a surface touches it.
Multiply several egg cases per female by nymphs that mature in a few warm weeks and you have the reason a minor sighting turns into an infestation.
Foggers and retail sprays drive the population further into cavities and across into neighbouring units, while leaving residue on the surfaces you cook on.
What they leave behind matters: droppings, saliva and cast skins are known asthma and allergy triggers, so this is a health question as much as a comfort one.
What the technician does on the day, in the order it happens.
Step one is knowing which cockroach you have. Step two is finding where it shelters: torch and inspection mirror through hinges, appliance cavities, kickboards and wall voids.
Where grease or food build-up is feeding the colony, we show you what to clean first. Bait works far better when it is the most attractive food in the room.
Small dots of professional gel bait go into the cracks cockroaches travel through. They eat, return to harbourage and the effect passes through the population.
Two products with different jobs: the growth regulator stops nymphs maturing, and dust carries the treatment into voids and cavities beyond the reach of gel.
With American and Australian cockroaches the work is outside the kitchen: the pits, the floor wastes, the subfloor and the roof void, because that is where they breed.
Everything is recorded in writing. Still seeing heavy activity after a fortnight, or it returns inside the 6-month warranty on a general treatment? We return at no cost.
Some DIY options help with a few stray cockroaches. An established German cockroach colony is a different job.
| Method | What it does well | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
| Aerosol surface spray | Effective on the one you are aiming at | Leaves egg cases and wall voids untouched, and scatters the rest further in |
| Bug bombs and foggers | Easy coverage of the exposed parts of a room | Never reaches the hiding places, leaves residue where you cook, and scatters them |
| Retail bait stations | Fine as a first step on a small problem | Not enough bait to matter, and any food left about is more attractive |
| Professional gel bait rotation | Eaten in the hiding place and passed between cockroaches; formulations rotate if one is avoided | Depends on a clean kitchen, and the result comes over days to a fortnight |
| Insect growth regulator | Stops nymphs maturing into breeding adults, which breaks the egg-case cycle | Works slowly, so it is always paired with bait |
Ten minutes of preparation lets the bait reach more cockroaches.

You should see a steady decline. Leave the gel where we put it in hinges and cracks, and keep your own insecticide away from it, or they will refuse to feed.
Where activity continues, raise it with your agent or strata manager, because they cross between lots. See apartment pest control for how a building-wide treatment runs.
Call 1300 313 373 if activity is still steady after a fortnight, or if they come back within the 6 months a general treatment covers. The re-treatment is under warranty.
Floor wastes, overflow pipes and the gap where a waste pipe passes through a cupboard base are all cockroach routes. A dry floor waste in a Casula laundry is an open door, and a cup of water down it once a week closes it.
We are around Casula Mall and the streets behind it most weeks, and we cover every address in 2170, not just the main roads.
For a Casula cafe or restaurant the standard is different: a documented program, a site plan with numbered monitoring points, and a report an auditor will accept. We work to that rather than turning up with a spray pack.
What we use depends on what you have: baits and growth regulators for German cockroaches, pit and subfloor treatment for the drain species.
Bait placed in cracks and hinges, not a blanket spray over food preparation surfaces.
From single apartments to commercial kitchens serviced outside trading hours.
General treatments carry 6 months: a return within that window brings us back at no cost.

Get a Free QuoteA cockroach treatment starts from $89. Two things move it: how big the place is, and how far it has already spread. We work that out on the phone or on site and tell you the figure before anything starts in Casula. Every general treatment carries a 6-month warranty.
We cover it on scheduled runs, so a day's notice gets you the best slot. Our South West Sydney technicians cover Casula daily, and you get a confirmed arrival time when you book.
Newer estates put houses close together on small blocks, so cockroaches that establish in one property turn up either side of it within a season.
Modern detached homes close together. We treat the perimeter and the boundary because that is the route between properties.
We do. A lot of our Casula work is rentals and strata, so the report, the products used and the areas treated are all recorded in writing for whoever needs them.
Yes. Everything we use is registered for the purpose and applied at label rates, and we place product where people and animals do not go. Tell us about pets, aquariums or anyone with a respiratory condition at booking.
Generally no. We will tell you on arrival if any part of the job means keeping out of a room for a while, so there are no surprises.
Typically one to two hours on site. What extends it is size, access and how far the problem has gone, all of which are accounted for in the quote.
Every general treatment carries a 6-month warranty. A return visit inside that period does not cost you anything.
