Repairing the damage
Do not start repairs yet. Early timber replacement can remove the feeding site, and the colony needs to be confirmed dead first. A builder should look at the bearers, studs and roof timbers.

Local technicians, fixed prices and a written report for every job in Asquith.
Asquith is part of the Upper North Shore, 22.2 km or so north-west of the GPO, and 2077 is a postcode we know well. We run Asquith on a regular route, and same-day attendance is usually available.
If you are near Asquith Golf Club, Asquith station or Gardenia Street Park, that is ground we cover constantly - it is the busiest part of Asquith for us.
Asquith is in the Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby area, and we cover Hornsby, Hornsby Heights and North Wahroonga on the same runs - handy if you own more than one property or your termite problem has come from next door. Bush edges keep re-supplying the problem, which is why we treat the boundary rather than only the interior.
Most Asquith bookings come in as houses backing onto a reserve, where the pressure is constant from outside. Say which one applies when you call 1300 313 373 and the technician will have the right products on the van.
The whole of 2077 is covered, Collingridge Reserve included.
Your appointment is confirmed the day before with a real arrival time. Because Hornsby and Hornsby Heights are covered on the same round, 2077 often has an earlier slot available.
The rate is not the issue - the concealment is. By the time a cornice cracks or a skirting gives way, the colony has usually been feeding on that Asquith frame for a long time.
Anything with cellulose in it is food: the frame, yes, but also joinery, floorboards, the lining paper on plasterboard, and the boxes stacked in the garage.
Storm, fire and flood are covered. Termites are not, anywhere in Australia. A Asquith repair bill lands entirely on the owner, which is why the cheapest termite money you will ever spend is the inspection.
Photos from our own Sydney termite jobs. Most properties need one primary method, and some need two working together.

We install stations in the soil around the perimeter. They hold timber first; when termites start feeding on it we replace that with bait, and they take it home to the nest.

The stations get opened, read and refilled on a regular cycle. Let that slip and the program stalls - it is the usual explanation for one that never completed.

Active workings in a door frame or wall cavity can take bait fixed directly over them. Feeding starts at once, which is the fastest way onto a colony.

Termiticide applied into a trench along the footings, or injected through drilled holes in paths and slabs, creating a treated zone in the soil around the building.

In suspended floors, the soil around piers and along the walls is included, because subfloors are where concealed activity very often begins.

We show you where timber has been eaten so a builder can assess repairs, which should wait until the colony is confirmed dead.
What you do in the first day or two affects how quickly the colony can be eliminated.
Please do not spray. It kills the visible workers and causes the colony to abandon the site, and an abandoned site is useless for baiting.
Don't pull the workings apart. Exposed tubes dry and the colony retreats, which costs time on the treatment.
Photos help. Mud tubes, eaten timber, winged termites, and a note of the location, all make the visit more efficient.
Check for leaking taps, hot water overflow or air conditioner drip lines near the spot. Damp soil draws termites and needs fixing too.
Subterranean termites keep eating while you wait. Same-day and next-day inspections of active termites are available across Sydney.
In a unit or townhouse, activity in one lot often involves common property, so let the strata manager know early.

Both are recognised approaches for existing buildings under AS 3660.2. The right choice depends on your property.
| Consideration | Baiting system | Chemical soil barrier | Combination |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Destroying the colony that is feeding on your building | Putting a treated zone in the soil, so termites moving through it are affected | Killing the colony that is there and guarding against the next |
| What the work involves | Setting stations into the soil around the building and baiting active workings directly | Trenching the footings and injecting through drilled holes in paths and slabs | The bait goes in first; the soil treatment follows once elimination is confirmed |
| Disturbance | Minimal: no drilling of paths or digging of garden beds | Small holes drilled in paving and later sealed; digging along gardens | Spread across staged visits |
| Upkeep | Stations checked on a regular schedule and kept as monitoring | Service life depends on the product label and site; can be re-applied | Station checks continue while the barrier works |
| Suits | Active termites, heavily paved sites, or where chemical use needs limiting | Homes with good access to soil around the footings | Heavy activity, repeat attacks or high-risk sites near bushland |

Termite treatment is a program over several visits, not a one-off spray.
We identify the termites, trace mud tubes and workings, and check the roof void, subfloor and garden for the likely nest and entry points.
Everything goes in writing before we start - method, treatment areas, products and the follow-up schedule - at a fixed price.
We put bait onto the live workings or into in-ground stations, or treat the soil they travel through with termiticide.
Follow-up visits continue until activity has stopped, checking and topping up bait each time. Colony size and season set the timeline.
Elimination is not protection. We recommend a soil barrier, continued station monitoring, or both, so a fresh colony does not simply replace the last one.
The job finishes with a written record of products and areas, and a recommended next inspection date.
Treatment starts from $179. Your fixed quote comes after we've seen the activity.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location of the activity | Termites confined to one architrave take far less work than activity running through a subfloor and the wall framing |
| Method | Product volume and labour vary considerably between above-ground baiting, in-ground stations and a full barrier |
| Access and perimeter | Long footings, restricted subfloor height and narrow passages down the side all add labour |
| Paved areas | Any path, patio or garage slab needing drilling and injection adds time over open soil |
| Number of follow-ups | Return visits carry on until the colony is gone - larger colonies take more of them |
| Building type | Strata buildings, commercial sites and homes with extensions or granny flats are scoped individually |
For typical scenarios, read how much termite treatment costs in Sydney. Warranty terms for termite work are confirmed in writing with your quote.
Do not start repairs yet. Early timber replacement can remove the feeding site, and the colony needs to be confirmed dead first. A builder should look at the bearers, studs and roof timbers.
The in-ground stations are flush to the soil with locking lids. Leave them where they are - not buried in mulch, not concreted over - and tell us before any landscaping so we can relocate them.
Treated soil works best left undisturbed. New garden beds, pavers or a deck against the house can break the treated zone, so call us before those works.
Inspections at least every 12 months is the AS 3660.2 recommendation, with shorter intervals in high-risk areas. Post-treatment, that is what finds the next colony while it is small.
Treatment removes the colony. These property conditions attract the next one, and most are cheap to fix.
Timber retaining walls, sleepers and old fence posts around Asquith properties are all food. They also hide workings, which is why we look at them specifically.
Coptotermes is the species that does most of the structural damage in Sydney, and it can nest inside a tree or a wall cavity as well as in soil. Identifying what is in the workings decides the Asquith treatment.
Pre-purchase is when this matters most. A report naming active termites or past damage in a Asquith house changes the price or the decision - but only if you have it before you sign.
NSW licence 5122967, with termite work planned around AS 3660.2 for existing buildings.
We locate where they are coming from first, then decide the method. Treating what you can see achieves very little.
A documented job: what was used, where, and when we returned - for your files, your insurer or whoever buys the place.
The follow-up visits are part of the program, so a baiting job does not get abandoned halfway.

Get a Free QuoteTermite treatment starts from $179 and a full timber pest inspection from $159. Two things move it: how big the place is, and how far it has already spread. We work that out on the phone or on site and tell you the figure before anything starts in Asquith. Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually.
Same-day attendance is usually available. Our Upper North Shore technicians cover Asquith daily, and you get a confirmed arrival time when you book.
Where bushland adjoins the block, the question is not how termites got in but how often. The perimeter is what decides that.
Houses on larger, often sloping blocks with bush on at least one boundary, so the perimeter and the fence line are central to the job.
We do. A lot of our Asquith work is rentals and strata, so the report, the products used and the areas treated are all recorded in writing for whoever needs them.
It is, applied properly. We put product into cracks, voids and stations rather than across open surfaces, and we will tell you what to stay off and for how long before we leave.
In most cases you can stay. Where an area does need to be left clear it is for a couple of hours at most, and we say so before we start.
Typically one to two hours on site. What extends it is size, access and how far the problem has gone, all of which are accounted for in the quote.
Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually. A return visit within the warranty period costs you nothing.
All of them. Asquith sits alongside Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, North Wahroonga and Mount Colah in our coverage, and they are serviced on the same schedule.
