What we cover in Berowra Waters, and how quickly we can get there.
Postcode 2082 covers Berowra Waters and the streets immediately around it. At about 30.7 km north of the CBD it falls in the Upper North Shore, where we have vans out daily. We cover Berowra Waters on scheduled runs through the Upper North Shore, and we will give you a firm time rather than a window.
The Berowra Waters addresses we attend cluster around Berowra Marketplace and Berowra Village Shopping Centre. Wideview Road Reserve is another part of the suburb we are called to often.
We work under the Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby area here, and Berowra Heights, Berrilee and Berowra are all on the same route, which matters when termite problems are moving between adjoining properties. Bush edges keep re-supplying the problem, which is why we treat the boundary rather than only the interior.
Berowra Waters jobs tend to be homes on sloping blocks with a sub-floor and bush on the boundary. Let us know which when you ring and we will plan the visit around it.
Every part of 2082 is covered as standard.
Bookings for 2082 are confirmed the day before with a set arrival time, not an all-day window. Jobs at Berowra Heights and Berrilee often share the same run, which is how earlier slots come up.
Subterranean termites must stay in contact with soil moisture, so they build pencil-width mud tubes to carry it with them. On a Berowra Waters pier, slab edge or internal wall, those tubes are the most reliable sign there is.
Nasutitermes is common in gardens around Berowra Waters and far less destructive than Coptotermes. Knowing which you have is the difference between urgent and manageable.
Garden beds built up over the slab edge, timber sleepers against the wall, and mulch piled to the brickwork all give termites a covered path straight past whatever protection the house has. It is the most common fault we find in Berowra Waters.
Photos from our own Sydney termite jobs. Most properties need one primary method, and some need two working together.

A ring of in-ground stations, each baited once termites are feeding. Because the workers carry it back to the nest, the colony itself is what gets eliminated rather than the ones you see.

Scheduled visits to inspect feeding and replace consumed bait. A baiting program only works if it is kept topped up, which is why the checks are part of it.

Bait fitted directly over live workings in a wall or frame. There is no waiting for termites to discover it - they are already there.

A treated zone in the soil: termiticide trenched in along the footings, and injected through holes drilled in paving or slab where there is no open soil.

Suspended floors get the subfloor done too: the soil at the piers and along the walls, because that is where concealed attacks most often begin.

We walk you through the damaged timber and record it for your builder. Repairs come after elimination is confirmed, not before.
What you do in the first day or two affects how quickly the colony can be eliminated.
Please do not spray. It kills the visible workers and causes the colony to abandon the site, and an abandoned site is useless for baiting.
Tempting as it is, leave the workings whole. A broken tube dries, the termites pull back, and we lose the active site.
A few photos of the mud tubes, the affected timber or any winged insects, plus a note of where they were, lets us plan the visit properly.
Check for leaking taps, hot water overflow or air conditioner drip lines near the spot. Damp soil draws termites and needs fixing too.
Subterranean termites feed continuously, so waiting costs timber. Same-day and next-day inspections are available right across Sydney.
Townhouse or unit? Notify the strata manager promptly, because common property is usually involved.
A licensed Sydney technician will talk it through and give you a fixed quote within half an hour.
Both are recognised approaches for existing buildings under AS 3660.2. The right choice depends on your property.
| Consideration | Baiting system | Chemical soil barrier | Combination |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main job | Eliminates the colony feeding on the building | Creates a treated zone so termites travelling through the soil are affected | Removes the active colony and protects against new ones |
| Method of install | Soil stations round the perimeter and bait onto the workings themselves | Trenching at the footings with drilling and injection through hard surfaces | Bait phase first, soil barrier second |
| Disruption to the property | Very little - no paths drilled, no garden beds dug up | Small holes through paving, sealed afterwards, and trenching along garden beds | Shared out over several staged visits |
| Ongoing maintenance | Regular scheduled station checks, which double as ongoing monitoring | How long it lasts comes down to the product label and the site, and it can be re-applied | The station checks carry on while the barrier does its job |
| Best suited to | Live activity, properties with a lot of paving, or where chemical use must be kept down | Houses with decent access to open soil along the footings | Serious activity, properties attacked before, or high-risk blocks near bush |

Termite treatment is a program over several visits, not a one-off spray.
Identification comes first, then we trace the workings and search the roof void, subfloor and garden to locate the nest and the entry points.
You receive a fixed quote that names the method, the areas, the products and the return visits required.
Depending on the site: bait fixed to active workings, bait into in-ground stations, or termiticide into the soil where they move.
Return visits carry on until there is no activity left, with bait checked and refilled at each. The duration comes down to colony size and season.
With the colony eliminated, the next question is protection - a soil barrier, continued station monitoring, or both together.
The job finishes with a written record of products and areas, and a recommended next inspection date.
Treatment starts from $179. Your fixed quote comes after we've seen the activity.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location of the activity | Termites confined to one architrave take far less work than activity running through a subfloor and the wall framing |
| Method chosen | Above-ground baiting, in-ground stations and full soil barriers use different amounts of product and labour |
| Perimeter size and access | A long perimeter, a tight subfloor or a narrow side passage all add hours |
| Hard surfaces | Drilling and injecting through paths, patios and garage slabs is slower than trenching open soil |
| Return visits | A baiting program runs until the colony is eliminated, and a big colony needs more visits to get there |
| Building type | Strata buildings, commercial sites and homes with extensions or granny flats are scoped individually |
For typical scenarios, read how much termite treatment costs in Sydney. Warranty terms for termite work are confirmed in writing with your quote.
Hold the repairs until elimination is confirmed - taking out the timber early removes the bait. Then have a builder assess the structural members, bearers and studs and roof timbers included.
The in-ground stations are flush to the soil with locking lids. Leave them where they are - not buried in mulch, not concreted over - and tell us before any landscaping so we can relocate them.
A treated zone wants to be left alone. Building a garden bed, laying pavers or adding a deck against the house can breach it, so ring us before that work starts.
The standard, AS 3660.2, recommends an inspection at least annually and more frequently where risk is high. After a treatment, those inspections are how a new colony gets caught early.
Treatment removes the colony. These property conditions attract the next one, and most are cheap to fix.
Termites will nest inside a living tree. If there is a mature gum close to a Berowra Waters house, that is worth including in the inspection rather than assuming the risk is only in the soil.
Termite pressure is not even across Sydney and it is not even across Berowra Waters either. Blocks with mature trees, poor drainage or timber retaining are the ones worth watching.
Termites do not respect boundaries. A neglected yard or a demolition next door in Berowra Waters can push foraging onto your property, which is why we inspect fence lines and boundaries rather than only the house.

Source first, method second. Spraying the termites in front of you leaves the colony untouched.
Products, areas treated and follow-up visits recorded for your files, insurer or a future buyer.
Return visits are included rather than optional, which is why our baiting programs actually finish.

Backing onto bush means constant pressure from outside. termites are already established in the reserve, and the house is simply the next thing they reach.
Homes with sub-floors, roof voids and bush at the boundary - all three get inspected.
We do. A lot of our Berowra Waters work is rentals and strata, so the report, the products used and the areas treated are all recorded in writing for whoever needs them.
It is, as long as you follow what we tell you on the day - usually keeping off treated surfaces for a couple of hours. Let us know at booking about young children, pets or an aquarium.
Normally you can stay. Some treatments mean keeping out of a particular room briefly, and we will flag that when we arrive so you can plan around it.
Between one and two hours covers the majority of jobs. We do not book so tightly that a technician has to cut a job short.
Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually. So if they turn up again within the warranty, ring us and we will attend.
