Repairing the damage
Repairs come last. Until we confirm there is no activity, replacing timber can take away the bait the colony was feeding on. Structural timber - bearers, studs, roof members - needs a builder's assessment.

Postcode 2212 covers Revesby and the streets immediately around it. At about 19.6 km south-west of the CBD it falls in the Canterbury-Bankstown, where we have vans out daily. We run Revesby on a regular route, and same-day attendance is usually available.
If you are near Playford Park, Amour Park or Revesby Village Centre, that is ground we cover constantly - it is the busiest part of Revesby for us.
Revesby is in the Canterbury-Bankstown area, and we cover Padstow, Panania and Condell Park on the same runs - handy if you own more than one property or your termite problem has come from next door. Terraces, semis and converted blocks share cavities and risers, which is why a single-unit treatment often does not hold on its own.
The bulk of our Revesby work is apartments and converted blocks where the kitchen backs onto a service riser. Mention the detail when you call 1300 313 373 - it decides how long we need on site.
Beyond that we are regularly around Condell Park Shopping Centre, and out as far as Revesby station. If you are anywhere in 2212, you are inside the area we run.
Your appointment is confirmed the day before with a real arrival time. Because Padstow and Panania are covered on the same round, 2212 often has an earlier slot available.
Subterranean termites must stay in contact with soil moisture, so they build pencil-width mud tubes to carry it with them. On a Revesby pier, slab edge or internal wall, those tubes are the most reliable sign there is.
Some species are destructive, some barely touch sound timber. We identify from the soldiers in the workings, because treating a Revesby home for the wrong one wastes the visit.
They eat from the inside out and leave the paint film intact, so a Revesby skirting board can look perfect and sound papery when you tap it. That hollow note is often the first real evidence.
Photos from our own Sydney termite jobs. Most properties need one primary method, and some need two working together.

Stations go into the ground around the building with timber inside. Termites locate it, we switch the timber for bait, and the colony is eliminated from the inside out.

Scheduled visits to inspect feeding and replace consumed bait. A baiting program only works if it is kept topped up, which is why the checks are part of it.

If there is active work inside a wall or architrave, we can mount bait straight onto it, which puts the colony onto bait immediately rather than waiting for them to find a station.

Termiticide placed into the soil around the building - trenched where there is soil, injected through drilled holes where there is concrete - forming a treated zone termites have to cross.

With a suspended floor the piers and wall lines are part of the job. Most concealed termite activity we find started under the house.

The eaten timber is identified and recorded so a builder can quote. Hold the repairs until the colony is confirmed dead or you may remove what they are feeding on.
What you do in the first day or two affects how quickly the colony can be eliminated.
Surface spray and bombs are the worst thing to use here. The colony retreats from the treated area and you lose the access point we needed.
Leave mud tubes and damaged timber intact. Broken workings dry out and termites may retreat, which slows treatment.
Take pictures of anything you have seen and remember where. It tells us what to bring and where to start.
Moisture is usually part of the story: a leaking tap, the hot water overflow, the air conditioner condensate line. Damp soil pulls termites in, so it needs fixing too.
They do not stop while you think about it. We hold same-day and next-day slots across Sydney for active termites.
Activity in one lot of a strata building is rarely confined to that lot. Let the strata manager know as soon as you find it.
A licensed Sydney technician will talk it through and give you a fixed quote within half an hour.
Both are recognised approaches for existing buildings under AS 3660.2. The right choice depends on your property.
| Consideration | Baiting system | Chemical soil barrier | Combination |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main job | Eliminates the colony feeding on the building | Creates a treated zone so termites travelling through the soil are affected | Removes the active colony and protects against new ones |
| What the work involves | Setting stations into the soil around the building and baiting active workings directly | Trenching the footings and injecting through drilled holes in paths and slabs | The bait goes in first; the soil treatment follows once elimination is confirmed |
| How intrusive it is | Low. Nothing drilled, nothing dug out of the garden | Paving gets small drill holes which are then sealed, and gardens get trenched | Spread over staged visits rather than one disruptive day |
| Maintenance | Scheduled checks of each station, which also serve as monitoring | Longevity depends on the label and the site, and it can be renewed | Ongoing station checks run in parallel with the barrier |
| Where it fits | Active termites, sites that are mostly paved, and cases where less chemical is preferred | Buildings where the soil around the footings is readily accessible | Heavy infestations, repeat attacks, and high-risk sites backing onto bushland |

Termite treatment is a program over several visits, not a one-off spray.
Identification comes first, then we trace the workings and search the roof void, subfloor and garden to locate the nest and the entry points.
You receive a fixed quote that names the method, the areas, the products and the return visits required.
Treatment goes where the termites actually are - bait on the workings or in stations, or termiticide in the travelled soil.
Return visits check feeding and top up bait until activity stops. Timing depends on colony size and season.
Elimination is not protection. We recommend a soil barrier, continued station monitoring, or both, so a fresh colony does not simply replace the last one.
Everything applied is recorded in writing, with the recommended date for your next timber pest inspection.
Treatment starts from $179. Your fixed quote comes after we've seen the activity.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location of the activity | Termites confined to one architrave take far less work than activity running through a subfloor and the wall framing |
| Method chosen | Above-ground baiting, in-ground stations and full soil barriers use different amounts of product and labour |
| Size and access | The longer the perimeter and the tighter the subfloor and side access, the longer the job |
| Paved areas | Any path, patio or garage slab needing drilling and injection adds time over open soil |
| How many visits | Baiting continues until elimination, so the colony's size decides how many return visits are needed |
| Kind of property | Strata, commercial and extended homes - including granny flats - are individually scoped |

Flush-fitting, locking lids. Don't shift them, don't cover them with mulch, don't pour concrete over them - and give us notice before landscaping so they can be moved properly.
The barrier depends on the soil staying put. Garden beds, pavers and decks built against the house are the usual way one gets broken, so talk to us before the work.
Inspections at least every 12 months is the AS 3660.2 recommendation, with shorter intervals in high-risk areas. Post-treatment, that is what finds the next colony while it is small.
Treatment removes the colony. These property conditions attract the next one, and most are cheap to fix.
Around Revesby the risk is driven by what is in the soil and what the house is made of. Timber-framed homes with gardens against the slab edge are the ones we find activity in most often.
Risk is partly about the street, not just the building. Old stumps, timber fences and untreated structures nearby all sustain colonies within foraging distance of a Revesby home.
Our Revesby work runs from Revesby Village Centre out through the back streets and across to the Padstow boundary. Same price, same technicians.
NSW licence 5122967. Work on existing buildings is planned against AS 3660.2.
We work out where termites are coming from before choosing a method, rather than spraying what's visible.
Products, areas treated and follow-up visits recorded for your files, insurer or a future buyer.
Return visits are built into the program so baiting is never left half-finished.

Older joined housing. The treatment takes account of shared walls, continuous sub-floors and roof voids that run between properties.
We do. A lot of our Revesby work is rentals and strata, so the report, the products used and the areas treated are all recorded in writing for whoever needs them.
