What we cover in Mosman, and how quickly we can get there.
Postcode 2088 covers Mosman and the streets immediately around it. At about 5.1 km north-east of the CBD it falls in the Lower North Shore, where we have vans out daily. Our technicians are through Mosman most days, so same-day attendance is usually available.
Most weeks we are somewhere between Big Bear Village and Cammeray Golf Course in Mosman, and Memory Park is close enough to be on the same run.
Under North Sydney, Mosman, Willoughby, Lane Cove and Hunters Hill, we cover Mosman and Cremorne, Cremorne Point and Neutral Bay alike. A lot of the housing here is older and close to the water, so sub-floors and lower levels hold damp - and damp is what keeps a population going.
The bulk of our Mosman work is waterfront and near-waterfront homes with damp sub-floors and mature gardens. Mention the detail when you call 1300 313 373 - it decides how long we need on site.
Sydney Harbour National Park and Corner Beach are on the same round, which means every part of 2088 is within our area.
Termites are after cellulose, which means skirtings, architraves, door jambs, built-in wardrobes, floorboards and the paper facing on plasterboard - not just the frame. Stored cardboard and books in a Mosman garage are fair game too.
They eat from the inside out and leave the paint film intact, so a Mosman skirting board can look perfect and sound papery when you tap it. That hollow note is often the first real evidence.
On warm, humid evenings a mature colony releases winged reproductives. If you find small piles of shed wings on a Mosman windowsill or in a web, a flight has happened close by - often on your own block.
Photos from our own Sydney termite jobs. Most properties need one primary method, and some need two working together.

Stations go into the ground around the building with timber inside. Termites locate it, we switch the timber for bait, and the colony is eliminated from the inside out.

The stations get opened, read and refilled on a regular cycle. Let that slip and the program stalls - it is the usual explanation for one that never completed.

Active workings in a door frame or wall cavity can take bait fixed directly over them. Feeding starts at once, which is the fastest way onto a colony.

We trench along the footings and apply termiticide, drilling and injecting through paths and slabs where trenching is not possible, so the treated zone is continuous.

In suspended floors, the soil around piers and along the walls is included, because subfloors are where concealed activity very often begins.

We mark up where the timber has gone so a builder can assess structural work - scheduled after, not before, the colony is confirmed eliminated.
What you do in the first day or two affects how quickly the colony can be eliminated.
Surface sprays and insect bombs kill the workers in sight and make the rest abandon that feeding site, leaving nothing for bait to work on.
Tempting as it is, leave the workings whole. A broken tube dries, the termites pull back, and we lose the active site.
A few photos of the mud tubes, the affected timber or any winged insects, plus a note of where they were, lets us plan the visit properly.
Check what is wetting the soil nearby: taps, hot water overflow, condensate lines. That damp is part of why they are there.
Don't sit on it. The colony keeps working, and we can usually inspect active termites the same or next day anywhere in Sydney.
Activity in one lot of a strata building is rarely confined to that lot. Let the strata manager know as soon as you find it.
One call to a licensed Sydney technician gets you straight advice and a fixed quote within 30 minutes.
Both are recognised approaches for existing buildings under AS 3660.2. The right choice depends on your property.
| Consideration | Baiting system | Chemical soil barrier | Combination |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Destroying the colony that is feeding on your building | Putting a treated zone in the soil, so termites moving through it are affected | Killing the colony that is there and guarding against the next |
| Installation | In-ground stations around the perimeter, with bait fixed to any live workings | A trench along the footings, plus drilling and injection where there is paving or slab | Baiting to start, and the soil work once the colony has gone |
| Disturbance | Minimal: no drilling of paths or digging of garden beds | Small holes drilled in paving and later sealed; digging along gardens | Spread across staged visits |
| What it needs afterwards | The stations are checked on schedule and stay in place as monitoring | Service life is set by the product label and the site conditions; re-application is possible | Stations keep being checked alongside the working barrier |
| Suits | Active termites, heavily paved sites, or where chemical use needs limiting | Homes with good access to soil around the footings | Heavy activity, repeat attacks or high-risk sites near bushland |

Termite treatment is a program over several visits, not a one-off spray.
We identify the termites, trace mud tubes and workings, and check the roof void, subfloor and garden for the likely nest and entry points.
Everything goes in writing before we start - method, treatment areas, products and the follow-up schedule - at a fixed price.
We put bait onto the live workings or into in-ground stations, or treat the soil they travel through with termiticide.
Return visits carry on until there is no activity left, with bait checked and refilled at each. The duration comes down to colony size and season.
Once the colony is gone, we recommend a soil barrier, ongoing station monitoring, or both, to lower the risk of a new attack.
You receive a written record of what was applied and where, plus a recommended date for your next timber pest inspection.
Treatment starts from $179. Your fixed quote comes after we've seen the activity.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Where the activity is | Termites in one door frame need far less work than activity spread through a subfloor and wall frames |
| Method | Product volume and labour vary considerably between above-ground baiting, in-ground stations and a full barrier |
| How big and how reachable | Time goes up with perimeter length, and again with low subfloor clearance or narrow side access |
| Concrete & paving | Paths, patios and garage slabs that must be drilled and injected take longer than open soil |
| How many visits | Baiting continues until elimination, so the colony's size decides how many return visits are needed |
| Type of building | Strata, commercial premises and houses with extensions or a granny flat all get scoped on their own |
For typical scenarios, read how much termite treatment costs in Sydney. Warranty terms for termite work are confirmed in writing with your quote.
Hold the repairs until elimination is confirmed - taking out the timber early removes the bait. Then have a builder assess the structural members, bearers and studs and roof timbers included.
The in-ground stations are flush to the soil with locking lids. Leave them where they are - not buried in mulch, not concreted over - and tell us before any landscaping so we can relocate them.
Treated soil should not be dug up. If a garden bed, paving or a deck is going in against the house, call us before it does.
Inspections at least every 12 months is the AS 3660.2 recommendation, with shorter intervals in high-risk areas. Post-treatment, that is what finds the next colony while it is small.
Treatment removes the colony. These property conditions attract the next one, and most are cheap to fix.
If you are buying in Mosman, get the timber pest inspection done before you exchange, not after. Afterwards it is information; beforehand it is leverage.
Our Mosman work runs from Sydney Harbour National Park out through the back streets and across to the Cremorne boundary. Same price, same technicians.
Termites do not respect boundaries. A neglected yard or a demolition next door in Mosman can push foraging onto your property, which is why we inspect fence lines and boundaries rather than only the house.

Finding the source comes before picking a treatment. Spraying the visible workers is not a plan.
A documented job: what was used, where, and when we returned - for your files, your insurer or whoever buys the place.
The follow-up visits are part of the program, so a baiting job does not get abandoned halfway.

Same-day attendance is usually available. We are about 5.1 km north-east of the city here, and Mosman is covered by the Lower North Shore team.
Much of the housing near the harbour is old, with suspended floors and sub-floors that hold damp. Add mature gardens running to the boundary and termites have both shelter and moisture.
Large older homes and converted apartments, with damp lower levels the recurring theme.
We do. A lot of our Mosman work is rentals and strata, so the report, the products used and the areas treated are all recorded in writing for whoever needs them.
Yes, with the usual care. Everything is APVMA-registered and used to label, and we will work around pets, aquariums and anyone in the house with a respiratory condition if you tell us when you book.
Most of the time you can carry on as normal. If a particular area needs to be empty we will flag it when we arrive and it is rarely more than a couple of hours.
Between one and two hours covers the majority of jobs. We do not book so tightly that a technician has to cut a job short.
Treatments carry a 6-month warranty and we re-inspect annually. If it is not holding, call us - that is exactly what the warranty is for.
Yes - we work right across the North Sydney, Mosman, Willoughby, Lane Cove and Hunters Hill area, which takes in Mosman and the suburbs around it.
